Sketchbook Art Exhibition – Batumi, June 27-28, 2026

About the event

Flip through sketchbooks. See how ideas actually take shape.

The second open sketchbook exhibition comes to Batumi for two full days at Loft4.

Across both days, sketchbooks are presented as complete works in their own right – follow how ideas take shape through sketches, experiments, and visual thinking, revealed page by page.

Each sketchbook carries its own style, rhythm, and narrative.

Come to explore, flip through real sketchbooks, meet the artists, and spend time in a space centered on process and creative exchange.

About the space — Loft4

Loft4 is an underground space tucked into a courtyard off Zurab Gorgiladze St – brick walls, graffiti, neon glowing under UV light, a projector running.

It’s not a neutral backdrop. The exhibition lives inside the character of the place: by day the courtyard is bright and welcoming, by night the walls turn into something else entirely.

Why sketchbooks?

Usually hidden

Sketchbooks live in bags, drawers, and studios.

Raw process

This is where ideas actually happen — not the polished version.

Personal logic

Each sketchbook has its own rhythm and way of thinking.

This exhibition turns that inside out.

It brings sketchbooks into the open – as real, complete artistic objects.

What you can do

Explore sketchbooks

Pick them up, flip through pages, follow the thinking behind the work.

Talk to artists

Ask questions, hear how they work, and what sketchbooks mean to them.

Make something yourself

Make your own sketchbook and fill it during the event.

Buy something at Art Market

Buy prints, works, and maybe sketchbooks themselves.
